Fat Dissolving Injections in Poole
Reduce unwanted fullness beneath the chin. Restore natural definition. Feel confident from every angle.
Sometimes, a small area of fullness beneath the chin can affect how we feel about our appearance, even when we're otherwise happy with our weight and facial features.
A double chin isn't always related to being overweight. Genetics, ageing and our natural facial anatomy can all contribute to the accumulation of fat beneath the chin.
At Clinical Skincare Solutions in Poole, we offer Celluform+ fat dissolving injections specifically for the area beneath the chin.
Our approach isn't about dramatically changing your facial shape. It's about carefully reducing suitable pockets of unwanted fat to help reveal your natural chin and jawline contours.
Subtle refinement. Natural definition. Still entirely you.

What is Celluform+ and what does it treat?
Celluform+ is an injectable fat dissolving product used to target localised fatty tissue beneath the chin, medically known as submental fat.
Its principal active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, a substance related to a bile acid naturally produced by the body to help digest fats.
When injected into fatty tissue, deoxycholic acid disrupts the membranes of fat cells. The body then gradually clears the affected cellular material through its normal biological processes.
Celluform+ is also described as containing an arnica-derived ingredient. However, this should not be taken to mean that swelling or bruising will be prevented.
The treatment is intended to reduce a localised pocket of fat rather than produce general weight loss.
What concerns can Celluform help with?
Double chin
Reduce suitable pockets of fatty tissue beneath the chin.
Fullness beneath the jaw
Address submental fat that makes the transition between the chin and neck appear less defined.
Reduced chin definition
Help make the natural contours of the chin more visible when excess fat is contributing to the concern.
Changes in facial profile
May improve the appearance of the side profile by reducing localised under-chin fullness.
Is fat dissolving right for everyone?
Not all fullness beneath the chin is caused by excess fat.
Loose skin, changes in muscle position, natural bone structure and other anatomical factors can also affect the appearance of the chin and neck.
Celluform+ is not a weight-loss treatment and is not intended to remove excess skin or correct significant skin laxity.
During your consultation, we'll carefully assess the area to determine whether reducing submental fat is likely to improve your concerns.
Sometimes another treatment, or no treatment at all, may be the more appropriate recommendation.
What to expect from your treatment
1. Your consultation
Every treatment begins with understanding your concerns.
We'll discuss what bothers you about the area beneath your chin, your medical history and what you hope to achieve.
We'll assess whether the fullness is caused by submental fat, skin laxity or other anatomical factors, and explain the potential benefits, risks and alternatives.
2. Your personalised treatment plan
If Celluform+ is appropriate, we'll develop a treatment plan based on the amount and distribution of fatty tissue beneath your chin.
You may require more than one session, and we'll discuss the expected treatment course before proceeding.
Our focus is on proportionate fat reduction that complements your natural facial structure.
3. Your treatment
Following careful assessment and preparation, Celluform+ is injected into selected areas of fatty tissue beneath the chin.
The injections may cause discomfort, stinging or a burning sensation.
Swelling is an expected response and can be noticeable following treatment. Tenderness, firmness and bruising may also occur.
We'll explain what to expect, provide aftercare instructions and discuss symptoms that require medical attention.
4. Your results
Fat reduction occurs gradually as the body responds to treatment and clears affected fat cells.
Visible changes may take several weeks to develop, and the degree of improvement varies between individuals.
As this settles, the initial fullness reduces.
Further sessions may be considered following reassessment, where clinically appropriate.
Our aim is to gently refine the appearance of the area beneath your chin while maintaining natural facial proportions.

Frequently asked questions

Understanding the risks
Fat dissolving injections are medical procedures and carry potential risks.
Swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, numbness and temporary firmness or lumps are common after deoxycholic acid injections.
Less common or more serious complications can include infection, persistent nodules, skin ulceration or tissue damage.
The anatomy beneath the chin also contains important nerves and other structures. Injury to these structures can cause complications such as temporary or potentially prolonged weakness affecting the lower lip or smile.
Difficulty swallowing and significant inflammatory reactions are additional recognised risks associated with injectable deoxycholic acid treatments.
We'll discuss the risks relevant to your individual treatment, including the limitations of the available evidence for Celluform+, before you decide whether to proceed.
Your safety and informed choice will always take priority.
